Drunken creations

This last weekend the hubster and I decided to have a nice night of drinking and watching X Files (and Burn Notice). Unfortunately I didn't think to snap any pictures of the drinks to show off their yummy goodness, but I did end up with some good ones.

Okay, now the first thing to know about this amazing pizza is that I was pretty hammered when I got the urge to eat one, and being 3 a.m., that meant making one. For being ridiculously drunk, it came out fantastically well. I am really looking forward to trying it out again in a more sober state of mind.  This particular set of toppings was the remnants of what we had from last week: a can of sliced olives, fontina and smoked gouda cheese and the last few pieces of Schwan's steak bites. Of course, any topping would be amazing.

Drunk pizza:

two shakes baking powder
two shakes salt
three or four handfuls of flour
just enough water and olive oil to make a stiff dough (just water would work really well, too)
toppings

Heat oven to 400F. Combine salt, baking powder and flour, then dribble in enough water to make a dough. Hands worked well for me. Roll dough out on a pizza sheet and add toppings. Bake 15-20 min. Consume.

Yes, very simple. The dough was a little hard in places because I baked it far too long (30 min), but it did taste good, and it was so much simpler than taking one or two hours to let the dough rise.

Now, as for the drink that got us that plastered, Just imagine a glorious root beer float. Do you have the mental picture? Good, now here are the ingredients:

two or three scoops vanilla ice cream (depending on the size of your glass and how much alcohol you want)
chocolate vodka
Southern Comfort egg nog (or really any egg nog, but we used the pleasantly alcoholic variety)
Hansen vanilla cola

Scoop your ice cream into your glass, pour in the vodka until the cup is about a third of the way full, then the egg nog to two thirds, and top off with cola. Or you can adjust the levels to your liking. We used knives to blend it all together, but you can either use a blender or just drink it unblended.
